The purpose of the project is that I, whenever I want throughout my life, will be able to read, look at, smell, feel and relive the memories of the places, events and people that made this memorable time what it was. The project consists of a time capsule in the shape of a handbound velvet box that contains eight riso printed elements that in different ways express important aspects of my stay. The appearance of the time capsule is meant to depict how the people I have gotten to know during my stay have described me; dark, mystical and soft. All parts of the project have been thoughtfully developed by me to show how I myself shaped my time in Bergen, as well as the person I have become during my time. The comic displays some everyday events for a person with Body dysmorphic disorder. I wanted to show the disturbing transformations that happen inside the head of someone with this disorder. How things go from looking totally normal, to suddenly merge into something disgusting and extremely overpowering for the subject. Until it becomes almost unbearing and the image in your head takes over completely. With the black and white colour scheme I wanted to show the daunting, colourless world this can be for some people and with the accents of the 3D magenta and cyan I wished to emphasize the I went into the Tinder app, swiped on 100 guys and created a compilation of the most popular types of photos that guys chose to represent themselves. I wanted to make playful and simple looking illustrations to make the film seem less confrontational and to not point out any specific individuals, as well as to emphasize the lack of seriousness in both my “statistic study” and the&nbsp;Tinder&nbsp;guys’ posing. Everything in the film, from textures to silhouettes are made from photos taken by me of the nature in my surroundings. The film was made with a mix of animation techniques, varying from classic puppet stop motion, to digital&nbsp; work and hand drawn frame-by-frame animation. I made this book cover for one of my favourite books. I chose to design the book cover to mirror the eerie and gothic theme of the story, and to perhaps open it up to a new type of audience. The previous book covers for this book that I have seen have all been embellished with flowers and leaves, something I don't think quite captures the essence of the story. With this year being the first time the celebrations would be held digitally, we wanted to create a simplistic but strong visual identity that could attract a broader audience. I was in charge of the logotype and the design of the program, and involved in illustrative work, photography and overall promotion. The project was an unpaid, voluntary student project created by myself, Anny Follesøy, Vilde Valland Aarseth, Caroline Thanh Tran, Oline Løseth and Viktoria Røisli.
