A fictive fluorescent book cover for Gösta Berlings saga by Selma Lagerlöf.

I made this book cover for one of my favourite books. I chose to design the book cover to mirror the eerie and gothic theme of the story, and to perhaps open it up to a new type of audience. The previous book covers for this book that I have seen have all been embellished with flowers and leaves, something I don't think quite captures the essence of the story.

I wanted to make some parts of the cover fluorescent to emphasize what I believe is the core meaning of the book; Through work and love man finds his true purpose and gets enlightened.
