Reincarnation is my first attempt at making a typeface. I wanted to create a gothic font that was one hundred percent digitally made, but still contained the characteristics of a classic blackletter script. Through geometric shapes I constructed modules that could then be used to build most of the letters.

Since it was my first time making a typeface, and my first time using the program FontLab, there were bound to be some difficult times. One being that a week’s worth of work got destroyed in the process because of bad research. Therefore I had to rebuild the whole font from only memory, and that is how its name came to be.
